Great Falls Is Home To Many Beautiful Views

Great Falls is lucky to be in such close proximity to many beautiful views. We have so many falls that are right here in our backyard sometimes we forget to look at other places.

In the Little Belt Mountains there is a waterfall that is a short hike up to see. From Great Falls the waterfall at Memorial Falls is only about an hour drive during clear weather.

Memorial Falls is located just south of Neihart Montana and consists of two falls, one upper and one lower. It makes for a quick day trip or stop along the way to another destination like White Sulphur Springs.

The trailhead is right off of Highway 89 and can be easy to miss if you aren't paying close attention but once you find the parking lot then the trail is easy to find.

A Pet Friendly Trail In Montana

We took our dog in the Spring when water was flowing high and the falls were just absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky to go on a day where the weather was slightly cool and early enough in the day where we were some of the only people on the trail.

A Trail Accessible All Year Long

During the Summer months the parking lot can be full of people but the trail is large enough to accommodate multiple people passing through even with pets in tow.

During the winter months snowmobilers and skiers will often stop and hike the trail which is a great time to have snow shoes with you!
