The Montana Department of Transportation road report gives you an up to date look at road conditions throughout the state of Montana. There are even links to cameras around the state so you can look at certain passes to see what conditions look like before hitting the road.

Holiday Travel Requires Planning Ahead
My family will be traveling to Lewistown for Thanksgiving this year meaning we only have a short way that we need to go but I always check the road conditions during the winter because what could be sunny and beautiful in Great Falls, could be snowing and icy near Lewistown.
It is important to look at the road conditions the day you are planning to travel so you can adjust your path if needed but looking too soon could leave you with a game plan that doesn't work the day of.
