Halloween Should Be For Everyone In Great Falls

I remember being 16 in Great Falls and wanting to go Trick or Treating. I got dressed up with my friends and we embarked on an adventure where we were met with nasty looks and people literally shutting doors in our faces.

I was heartbroken and felt defeated. I never went Trick or Treating again until I had kids of my own. My kids are at a great age where they love trick or treating and dressing up and as parents we go out with them and have a blast. But I still never understood why at 16 it was suddenly "NOT OKAY" for me to trick or treat anymore.

I would love it if my 15 year old wanted to dress up but he is "too cool" for that right now. He would rather stay home and be in his room. Maybe that is our own fault for making kids grow up too quickly nowadays. He did dress up as Yoshi last year and came with us to the safe downtown trick or treat event.
