What Are The Best Type Of Decorations For Halloween?
Montana weather means that anything you decide to put up outside needs to be sturdy and able to stand up to the sometimes hurricane force winds we get here in Great falls. So when you are at Spirit Halloween or Home Depot what are you looking for?
1. Inflatables
While inflatables can come in different sizes, characters and themes there is still the possibility of the wind being a factor. We bought some inflatable decorations from Walmart a few years ago and last year had to have them right up against the house because they kept getting knocked over.
2. Lights
Lights can be easy if you put them up on a day when the weather is cooperating. They even have easily set up little light shows that you can set in your yard and let it be. Easy peasy. Unless it gets covered in snow. Which is entirely possible in Montana!

3. Gravestones
These are always a really simple decoration that can look fantastic while being low to the ground it can easily stay put in the wind, or snow.

4. Giant Skeletons
There have been a big uptick in the use of these giant skeletons and their little dog too. These are heavier duty and seem to be able to stand through Montana weather. With the skeleton from Home Depot being 13 feet tall I do have to wonder if they come with stakes to hold them down to the ground better. While I don't have one of these babies yet...it is definitely a possibility for my yard this year.
