When it comes to Montana the answers are all over the board. How long should you wait after Halloween to start decorating for Christmas? Some people want to start putting up decorations the day after Halloween! I personally like to wait until after Thanksgiving but the DAY after my decorations are going up! Sometimes we do put them up sooner than Thanksgiving but it really just depends on what else is going on that year.

Family Holiday Celebrations Make A Difference

Most of my family is in Great Falls so we usually take turns with different holiday celebrations. Since Thanksgiving is not at my house this year there is a pretty good chance that my Christmas decorations will be up sooner than Thanksgiving-even with my husbands mild disapproval.

My sister is all about the Christmas spirit and I know for a fact her Christmas decorations will be up the SECOND that Halloween is over with. Then there are some family members that don't even decorate for Christmas. Of course other families will be celebrating other holidays as well and may have a different time table for when they bring out those decorations.

How Soon Should You Put Up Winter Holiday Decorations?

So I decided to ask our listeners. When do you start decorating for Winter Holidays? The answers gave us so many different opinions on when is socially acceptable. But in my mind you should do whatever makes you happy! If you want to put up Christmas decorations November 1st I wont judge! Just take them down before Valentines day.
