Montana weather can be unpredictable at times and this year expects to be no different. There will be winter storms, frozen roads and blizzard conditions that create unsafe environments while driving or even just being out and about. So, I put together a list of some things you should and should not do during the winter to be safe in Montana.
There are a lot of new people here in Montana that have not experienced a Montana winter just yet and they may be in for a rude awakening. I was really surprised that we didn't get any snow in the middle of October or even September but November is here to show us winter is still a part of Montana and you should be prepared for anything.

Winter In Montana Can Be Brutal
Montana feels like we have some pretty severe winters but apparently we only rank 12th in the nation for severe winters. I was honestly shocked to see this mostly because of the storms where we will end up with feels like temps of -65 with wind chill that can sometimes be expected. Not to mention the cost that comes with keeping your home warm without breaking the bank.
