Montana Retailers Closing Soon
This also comes with the announcement that a similar store CVS announced they would be closing 900 stores by the end of 2024 and have currently closed around 850. There is no word at this time if the Great Falls store is included in the remaining stores to close before 2025.
While neither of these retailers have announced that Montana stores will be closing at this time, since there are two Walgreens in Great Falls I would imagine one of those might end up on the chopping block.
How Will This Impact Great Falls?
With the announcement that Albertsons is being possibly bought by Kroger they also announced the "divestiture" of thousands of stores including one in Great Falls. Once the sale goes through they expect to "divest" thousands of stores including two in Montana.
