Last Minute Remote Learning For Heart Butte Students
It has been a while since we have had any word of students having to attend school remotely, but that is changing for one Montana school district.
The Heart Butte School District has run into issues with infrastructure leading into the 2024 school year and is going to remote learning for the first few weeks of school.
The school district said in a Facebook post they expect the remote learning to last four to six weeks at least.

Remote Learning In Heart Butte-Superintendent Informs Families
The Superintendent Marcy Cobell sent out a letter to families to inform them of the change. According to the letter they will be providing Chromebooks to students and students will have access to tutoring and off-site education to help fill any gaps in learning caused by the switch to remote learning.
"We assure you we’ve taken every precaution to not only ensure your child’s safety, but also meet the educational needs of every child in our school system. You’ve entrusted your children to us, and we don’t take this responsibility lightly," Superintendent Cobell said in this letter sent out to families.
There have not been any further details into what infrastructure issues the district is facing but since they do expect this to only be a short time of remote learning.
