Holiday Preparations When You Are Gluten Free

The holiday season is here in Montana and if you are someone who eats gluten free either by choice or by necessity you know how extremely difficult it can be sometimes to find replacements for every day food items.

When it comes to Montana I feel there has been a huge increase in the number of things that are offered as gluten free but it might just be because I started eating gluten free only a couple of months ago.

There's bread, cookies, flour, baking mixes, chicken nuggets and even gluten free pizza-which is not great honestly-but so many of the alternatives I cannot even tell the difference! So navigating this holiday season should be easy, right?

Gluten Free Requires Research In Montana

There are some recipes like green bean casserole- this one is SOUPer easy because there is a gluten free option for cream of mushroom soup. Problem for my family is we also have mushroom allergies so we stick to cream of celery and there is no option of gluten free for that soup.

There is gluten free stuffing, rolls and even gravy mixes that are available. The biggest hindrance we were expecting was dessert.
