Gluten Allergies Are Rough In Montana

I had a family member recently diagnosed with Celiac disease and while I don't have it, I decided to try eating gluten free. I have to say out of trends and diets this has been the hardest I have ever attempted but also the most beneficial.

Eating Gluten free completely is really difficult once you get into the details because guess what has gluten in it... EVERYTHING. Pizza, bread, gravy...Pizza.

Everything Has Gluten!

If you couldn't tell my favorite food I will say it one more time. It's pizza. I have tried a variety of store bought gluten free pizzas and I would say some are definitely better than others but in Great Falls we have many places that offer gluten free options.

Where In Great Falls Has Gluten Free?

While they might not always have "gluten free" there is also "gluten friendly." If you are allergic to gluten then the gluten friendly options are not the best bet since they may have cross contamination.

We are lucky enough to have at least two restaurants with truly gluten free pizza!

• Mod Pizza
  • While they have gluten free crust their pizzas are cooked on a shared oven so there is risk of cross contamination. For someone choosing to eat gluten free this is a great option
• Fire Pizza
  • Fire cooks their gluten free crust on a pan so it eliminates the risk of gluten cross contamination
• McKenzie River
  • They also cook on a pan meaning their gluten free is truly free of cross contamination plus they can make lodge poles that are gluten free as well. YUM
