Great Falls “Day Of” Voters Stuck In Line For Hours
Chaos At Montana Expo Park For Non-Registered Voters
For some voting in Great Falls was a quick experience. Go in, drop off your ballot and leave. Others however, if they needed to register or update their registration were stuck in line for literally hours. My sister, for example was in line at 9:00 AM and didn't leave until 4:00 PM!
There have been previous comments in Great Falls about the county elections office but the concern this year was about the preparedness of the staff at the Montana Expo Park. Complaints varied from not enough staff working to not being prepared enough for the large amount of voters that needed to update their registration.
I myself went to the Montana Expo Park at 4:30 and was done and out of there by 5:00pm

Montana Came Out And Voted!
We received word that since there was so many people that needed to register to vote there was only a limited number of people that could be accessing the state website to register people. With that limited access also created a lag in the system which is what created such long lines.
