From The Electric

The Great Falls Children's Museum will move from their current location after November 10th. The current location is owned by the city and leased by the organization. The museum is going to be moving out of the property by the end of November as they determined moving would be the most cost-efficient path for the museum.

The Children's Museum has occupied the current building since 1999 and are now looking for a new permanent home for the museum. This comes after the October announcement of their new interim director Laura Ewalt.

Children's Museum Announced Move

During a City Commission meeting on November 6th they notified the commission of their decision and say they want to be closed the least amount of time possible for the community. They also said they plan to be in their new location by early 2026 as they continue to look for a new location.

Big Changes For The Children's Museum In Great Falls

My kids love the Children's Museum and this closure right before winter-the time we go the most-will be impactful for the community. Considering that the City of Great Falls has plans for the space currently leased by the museum gives them even more reason to find something more permanent.

The museum will be hosting a free community event on November 10th from noon to 4:00 pm before closing. They did also announce they will host multiple events from different locations during the transition and to follow their Facebook page for details on those.
