Montana Thanksgiving 2025: What You Need To Know

Well, Halloween has come and gone, and now we're just 3 weeks away from Thanksgiving in Montana.

While the costs of food in America rose by 2.7% from August 2024 through this year, the cost of your Thanksgiving meal will be down 3% from last year.

Wells Fargo Thanksgiving 2025 Report

Wells Fargo released a report on November 5th stating that the cost of a Thanksgiving meal for 10 people will be down from prior years.

They say that if you purchase name-brand items (think Butterball), your meal will cost you around $95.

However, if you buy store-brand items (such as Great Value), you will only have to pay $80.

Some people are noticing that while the cost may be lower, the quantity and variety of food offerings are less than last year.

Lower Prices, But Fewer Options

Walmart last year offered an 8-person meal for $56, an average of $7 per person, while this year they're offering a 10-person meal for $40, an average of $4 per person.

However, when examining the list of food offerings from 2024 to 2025, people observed a decrease in the number of items, dropping from 21 last year to only 15 this year.

Items like pie are no longer included, and many of the previously offered name-brand products have been replaced with store-brand alternatives.

While I don't think anyone is particularly happy to be getting less, I think we're all thankful it's still affordable, and what really matters is gathering with your loved ones and enjoying a meal together.
