April rolls in, and music is in the air, courtesy of two local groups.

It's that time of year again.  The Great Falls Community Bands are getting ready for their spring concerts.

The Community Concert Band, directed by Dennis Granlie, will hold their concert Sunday, April 2nd at 2pm.

The Community Jazz Band, directed by John Gemberling, will hold their spring concert at 7pm on Saturday, April 22nd.

Both concerts will be held at New Hope Lutheran Church, 3125 5th Ave. South, in Great Falls.  Admission is free, but there will be a free-will offering at both concerts to benefit New Hope, which allows both groups to use the church for not just performances, but rehearsals as well.

After that, many members of the two groups will get ready for the summer concert season as members of the Great Falls Municipal Band and the free concerts at the bandshell at Gibson Park.  I'll publish that schedule once it is released.

For more information about these or other upcoming concerts by the Great Falls Municipal Band Association, check out their Facebook page.

I hope you'll come out for two great concerts!
