If the wind events over the last few days weren't enough, emergency personnel in Great Falls have also been busy keeping our city safe from the dangers of fires that seem to be cropping up a lot recently.
Within the last 24 hours in the Electric City, Great Falls Fire Rescue has also responded to two fire calls at residences within the city limits.

GFFR Responds to Two Fires in 24 Hour Period in Great Falls
On March 12, 2026, reports came into the fire station of a reported porch fire at 1009 3rd Avenue South in Great Falls. Upon arrival, responders found a small fire, caused by the improper disposal of smoking materials burning.

According to reports, the home sustained minimal damage to the exterior of the building. The occupants were not displaced and there were no injuries reported in the small fire.
Great Falls PD Now Involved with Intentionally Set Fire at Local Residence
The second fire call came on March 13 at 7:21 a.m. at 804 3rd Ave South in Great Falls. Once on the scene, firefighters found a shed on fire in the back area of the vacant property.
The shed sustained minor exterior fire damage and minor smoke damage to the interior. After securing the burning structure, investigators determined that the fire had been intentionally set at the address. The incident has now been referred to the Great Falls Police Department for further investigation.
