Those systems have failed in the past as well and have now created a more serious problem that likely will "create the need for a large-scale replacement project to remove and replace multiple systems throughout the facility" commissioners stated.

Cascade Commissioners Now Evaluate and Assess Problems Before Moving Ahead

In a press release from the Cascade County Commissioners, they are now "assessing the problem and working with county departments to "identify the scope of the plumbing issues, identify possible solutions, and to determine the next steps".

The problems are the latest in a list of needed repairs at the detention center.  Since 2019, over $6 million dollars have been invested in capital improvements at the facility such as roof replacement, door repairs and upgrades to security systems.  No cost estimate was given for the plumbing issues in the press release.
