While yesterday was quite eventful, it wasn't the worst earthquake to strike Montana, not even close.
Yesterday's earthquake measured at a 4.2 according to the United States Geological Survey; but the fifth ranked earthquake on our list of top five of the worst earthquakes to ever hit Montana measured no less than 5.6.

But what does that mean? According to the Richter Scale, anything between a 5 and 6 on the scale is expected to cause "some property damage", while everything above a 6 is expected to cause serious damage and loss of life.
