Why An Insanely Popular Snack In Montana Changed Its Name
When it comes to snacks, we all have our favorites and needless to say some of those snacking options are healthier than others.
Whether it's chips, crackers, jerky, or other healthier options, snacks are a staple in households throughout Montana.
Some of those snacks have become so popular over the years that they've been passed down from generation to generation.
Popular Snack Changes Its Name
One of those absolute snacking staples is Goldfish Crackers!
I'm sure almost all of you have had Goldfish at least once in your lives, many of which probably grew up on them!
Pepperidge Farms, the company that makes the iconic Goldfish brand, recently announced that it is changing the name of its popular cheddar crackers.
When I first came across this information, it was shocking since this snack has been known as Goldfish crackers since the beginning of time!
Goldfish Crackers
Once I investigated the Goldfish cracker name change, it became clearer why the company was doing it.
First and foremost, it's not a permanent name change; it's only temporary.
It's more of a Tongue-in-Cheek promotion highlighting that Goldfish crackers are more than just a kids' snack.
The temporary name of the goldfish crackers is Chilean Sea Bass crackers.
If you want to try the new Chilean Sea Bass crackers, you can only purchase them directly from the company.
The company will sell the cheddar crackers for $7.38 a bag each morning at 9 AM Eastern until October 30th.
Don't worry; the original goldfish crackers are still on shelves nationwide, and the company has no plans to remove them.
