First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park Annual Kite Festival
Along with the 25th anniversary, the First People Buffalo State Park will host their annual Buffalo kite festival.
Kites of all shapes and sizes will take to the sky during the event.
Buffalo-Themed Kites
Terry Zee Lee with SkyWindWorld, Inc. Has worked with Native American artists from across the United States to create buffalo-themed kites.
Traditional Native Game Stations
First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park will also host traditional Native American games during the anniversary and kite festival.
The stations will allow attendees to learn about traditional games and try them firsthand.
Games include Run & Scream, Kickball, Make the Stick Jump, Ring the Stick, Plum Stone, Rock in Fist, and many more.
Family-Friendly Fun for All Ages
The 25th annual celebration and kite festival is perfect for all ages, visitors, and family-friendly friends.
Kite kits will be available for purchase.
Nana’s Vintage Indian Taco truck will also be on-site.
First Peoples Buffalo Jump Event Details
What: Annual Buffalo Kite Festival & 25th anniversary.
When: Saturday and Sunday, July 13th and 14th, 2023, from 10 AM to 4 PM on both days
Where: First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park Visitor Center
The park is 3.5 miles north of Ulm, just off Interstate 15 at Exit 270.
